Untrammeled, away she goes, 2017, various bike poles, installation
Consider machines as tools that become an extension of one’s body. What does the tool tell me about my body, and how does my body relate to the tool?
The installation seeks to emphasize the malleable character of things. Bike frames are transformed into freestanding poles and restructure the given space. They become potentials, arising from the ground yet seeming unsure of where they're going. The viewer becomes immersed and one’s body movement activates the structure by exposing oneself to an ever-changing perspective.
